Lingap para sa Kalusugan ng Sambayanan (LiKaS) is one of the biggest & oldest organization in PLM College of Medicine. It aims to provide an avenue for students to aid in providing health care services to communities that need it the most.

We envision a health situation wherein greater importance is given to prevention and not to treatment of all illnesses and diseases. All these efforts shall be geared towards the empowerment of the people in responding to the needs of their own community.

A student network formed out of a noble inspiration to help address the needs of our less privileged fellowmen. It is committed to social service and upliftment of the health status of the community

Increasing awareness on public health issues, outreach programs, medical and surgical missions to communities, and donations to the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center are some of the major thrusts of the organization

Organization Principles

1. Analyze, promote, and advocate policies and issues, especially on health, consistent with its beliefs

2. Promote academic excellence among its members and extend academic support within the college

3. Equip its members with skills, knowledge and orientation as future leaders and alternative health professionals

4. Promote solidarity among government organizations, non-governmental and people's organizations, health professionals and medical students having the same goals

5. Contribute in the overall effort of people empowerment through education towards self-reliance

6. Provide quality community service, equipped with knowledge and skills, through training and joining surgical and medical missions

7. Pass their knowledge and training to new members; academic, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual assistance to all members
